Community Credits – Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Community Credits platform ("Community Credits," "we," "us," or "the platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the platform.

2. Credits Overview

Community Credits are consumable digital credits that may be purchased and used solely within participating Whops and connected integrations (including Discord) to access features, actions, content, services, subscriptions, or seller offerings made available by merchants and approved sellers.
  • Credits are not legal tender
  • Credits are not stored monetary value
  • Credits are non-transferable
  • Credits are non-refundable
  • Credits cannot be exchanged for cash or cash equivalents by users
  • Credits do not represent a claim against Community Credits or Whop
For pricing reference only: 1 Credit is typically sold for $1.00 USDCredits are delivered instantly upon purchase as a digital good.

3. Use of Credits

Credits may be spent on eligible actions and offerings as defined by merchants and sellers, including but not limited to:
  • priority access
  • questions or requests
  • services
  • content unlocks
  • tools
  • subscriptions
  • seller listings
Once credits are spent, the transaction is final.

4. Seller Earnings and Payouts

Merchants and sellers may earn credits when users spend credits on their offerings.

Payout Terms

  • Review Period: Earned credits are subject to a fourteen (14) day review period before becoming eligible for payout
  • Service Fee: A $5.00 service fee is deducted per payout
  • Minimum Payout Amount: $6.00 USD ($1 Whop minimum + $5 service fee)
  • Payout Timing: Weekly automated payouts or manual on-demand payouts, subject to review completion

Payment Processing

  • All payments and cash disbursements to sellers are processed through Whop's payout system
  • Community Credits manages internal credit accounting and initiates payout requests
  • Community Credits does not act as a bank, escrow agent, or custodian of funds
  • Whop does not guarantee seller earnings
Credit expiration due to inactivity does not apply to seller earnings generated through completed sales.

5. Credit Expiration Due to Inactivity

Credits are a consumable digital product designed for active participation within the platform.If a user account remains inactive for a continuous period of twelve (12) months, any unused credits associated with that account may expire and lose functionality.An account is considered inactive if the user does not log in or otherwise engage with the platform during that period.Prior to expiration, reasonable efforts will be made to notify users of impending expiration.Expired credits:
  • are permanently removed from the account
  • have no remaining value or utility
  • are not redeemable, refundable, or claimable

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:
  • use the platform for unlawful purposes
  • manipulate credit balances or transactions
  • engage in fraud or abuse
  • create fake or misleading accounts
  • sell or distribute credits outside the platform
  • attempt to circumvent platform safeguards or review periods

7. Review Period for Seller Transactions (No Dispute Resolution)

Seller earnings are subject to a fourteen (14) day review period prior to payout eligibility. This review period exists solely to allow Community Credits to identify and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of platform policies.Community Credits does not act as an escrow service, mediator, arbitrator, or guarantor of seller services.Transactions between users and sellers are direct exchanges of services for credits. Users are solely responsible for deciding how and when to spend credits and which sellers to engage.Community Credits does not evaluate service quality, outcomes, or satisfaction and does not provide refunds for dissatisfaction with seller services.Credits are delivered instantly at purchase as a digital good. Credit purchases are final and non-refundable.Seller earnings may be withheld, adjusted, or reversed only in cases of:
  • fraud
  • abuse
  • policy violations
  • complete failure to deliver any service
All payout determinations are final.

8. Account Suspension and Termination

Community Credits may suspend or terminate accounts that:
  • violate these Terms
  • engage in fraud or abuse
  • misuse credits or seller systems
  • remain inactive beyond applicable expiration thresholds
Termination may result in loss of access to unused credits in accordance with the Credit Expiration Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

Community Credits provides a platform connecting users, merchants, and sellers.To the fullest extent permitted by law, Community Credits is not responsible for:
  • the quality or delivery of seller services
  • outcomes or satisfaction related to seller offerings
  • disputes between users and sellers
  • loss of credits due to inactivity and expiration
  • technical interruptions or access issues

10. Changes to Terms

Community Credits may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notice. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
